Sprint considering a move to tiered data plans

I've noticed high ping when using my Evo as a hotspot (3G and 4G) so you'll be at a disadvantage on data intensive online games. If you want to be a LPB, it's probably best to stick with cable or fo.

at least i wouldnt be getting screwed out of a extra 10.00 a month since the 4g coverage even in seattle sucks

It's people like you that ruin it for everyone else. If getting a smartphone prevents you from getting internet at home then you should change your priorities. It's not a necessity to have a smartphone. If you can't afford both then be smart. Sprint has a right to cut you off if they think your abusing their service and I think going over 8gb on a phone is abusing. Your one example of why att switched their data plans. Cmon dude. Have common sense. 12gb on a cell phone? I don't blame sprint one bit for switching to tiered data.

To call you a 'dumbass' might actually be the compliment of your life. Please quote where I mentioned ANYTHING about me not being able to afford home internet? I had the EVO the day it came out. I'm quite sure you didn't and were still using an ancient Palm Pre up until a few weeks ago. The fact that you're so narrow-minded that you automatically assume that the only people using their phones as modems are people who can't afford it, goes to show how ignorant you are. For someone knowledgeable, wouldn't Sprint be breaking a contractual agreement if they reneged on their unlimited data plan? Most of us entered into a contract and agreed to start service and pay $10 extra per month, under the condition that we'd be getting unlimited data. If Sprint tried to go back on that, wouldn't that be voiding a contract? Could we then leave Sprint without a penalty i.e. early termination fees? And wouldn't Sprint be liable for breaking a contract?

Sprint sold a service as UNLIMITED! So that means it can be 20gig maybe 50gig. Whats it to you?

Hey maybe you like to be sold something and then have it change at a later date but not me. WTF is wrong with people these days!!

WE ARE THE CONSUMER!! If Sprint can't handle UNLIMTED data then don't freaking sell it as that! Their network and keeping it maintained whatever to handle data isn't my responsibility.

Its consumers like you who put up with this corporate bullshit is the exact reason why US consumers are always getting screwed!

So yeah selling UNLIMITED and then later deciding to change it is OUR FREAKING fault!
