Sprint/Verizon Interoperability.

Hey everyone:

So, I had a quick question regarding this, as most information on this topic seems to be outdated.

As many of you know, SERO is allowing Android devices come Oct 1st. Unfortunately, their 3G lineup is pretty sad at the moment, and 4G is probably a bit too much for me to swallow. However, Verizon has a really impressive lineup of 3G-only Android phones.

Would it be theoretically possible to purchase a Verizon Android device and activate it on the Sprint network? I know how to do such a thing with a TP2--just unlock the phone, get the MSL, flash the proper radio, provision for Verizon, and you're done. But there doesn't seem to be any discussion as to how to do this with newer Android devices. Are there any guides out there discussing its possibility/the steps I'd need to take to make it happen?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Sprint/Verizon Interoperability.

As far as I have heard Sprint will only allow Sprint phones (checked by ESN) to be activated on their network. That's probably the reason you don't see much discussion on it.

You will not legally get a Verizon phone on Sprint

Hmm, that's disappointing. All right, guess that nixes that idea.

not sure how you got the tp2 working but yes it would be that simple IF they accept your esn which they won't .

Re: Sprint/Verizon Interoperability.

Just get a Sprint TP2, put XDAndroid on it, and have fun.
