Question about HoudiniSoft's network switching software!

Have you guys seen this!?

http://houdinisoft.com/

What is the deal here!? I've sent information requests via email and not heard back yet. I'm just curious if a non-carrier end-user (like yours truly) can purchase the software!? Also does it really work? I mean good grief there are at least 50+ threads across numerous forums w/people asking if they can switch CDMA networks, all of which end with: "no".

Does this change everything? There are some MetroPCS users who've had the store actually change the phone over for them, though that seems tempermental at best.

i want to switch my Verizon Touch Pro to my Sprint network, and of course there are no solutions...supposedly.

Anyone know where this software is used?

Re: Question about HoudiniSoft's network switching software!

I just checked the website and it sounds really interesting... I know I've read everywhere that there is no way of using (for example) a verizon phone on sprint... but this software seems to say YES. ....????

As far as I know this has been the software the third party dealers of MetroPCS use to integrate non-MetroPCS CDMA phones such as Verizon and Sprint for use on MetroPCS. It inputs the ESN into their database, as well as prepares some of the settings.

As far as going from Verizon to Sprint and vice versa, I have not seen this. I am sure this is because neither Sprint nor Verizon will accept ESN/Phones from other carriers..

EDIT: Seems they support 2 other carriers. *Dealers from metroPCS , Revol PCS and Blue Wireless must contact the carrier to begin using Houdini.

walk into any Metro PCS shop and you can see it in action.. Like Clockcycle says, this is what metroPCS uses to get your esn in their data base and provision what they can of the device.. for smartphones only Voice and SMS can be done.. MMS and DATA must be configured manually..

and Sprints smartphones on Metro are super stable so I dont know what your talking about.. Moguls, TP1s, TP2s all have been on Metro.. Boost Mobile, Cricket, and USCC even

As far as going from Verizon to Sprint and vice versa, I have not seen this. I am sure this is because neither Sprint nor Verizon will accept ESN/Phones from other carriers..

Buy a TP2, SIM UNLOCK it, and use it on any carrier you want CDMA or GSM(depending ehich model you buy)..

theres more devious methods to transferring a device ontoanother network also.. youll get no help from me on that matter, but it can be done, but cant be talked about..

This used to be a non issue for Sprint to VZW.. when VZW crippled their TP1 by only giving it 188mb compared to Sprint 288mb version there was a mad dash to move Sprint Tp1s over to VZW... the 2 companies pretty much figured out they were both losing money and VZW slowly tighten the hole until it couldnt be done anymore... Sprint has never allowed non Sprint branded devices to be on their networks.. maybe way back in the day.. but never in the smartphone game..
