Question about GSM

Ok well here is a question for you guys.

I know that the Dell Streak is an at&t (GSM) exclusive. However, I also know that once unlock (which is not hard AT ALL) it CAN take (semi) advantage of the Tmo EDGE network.

However, is there anyway that I could mod it at all (The Streak) in order to get it to utilize the Tmo version of "3G"? I am not sure off the top of my head which frequencies each companies uses (at&t and Tmobile), however I do know that both are GSM (duh, everyone knows that, lol).

anyway, so could I get the Streak rigged up to work on the 3G network, and if not, what all can be done with the EDGE network?
