Re: Texting to europe
That's a bunch of bs. Whoever you spoke with didn't know what the hell they were talking about. Sprint does not have to have an agreement with another carrier for you to send/receive text internationally. That is why you get charged int'l text for their network to transmit to that international carrier's network. It may just be a problem with sprint's network..or your fiancee's network. Somehow one of the network isn't sending/receiving it. I text my wife in the Philippines with no problem and vice versa.
But you can google for a text messaging app. There's quite a few of them available for use.

Re: Texting to europe
Then somehow sprint's system is not transmitting it. It has nothing to do with having an agreement or not. Because a couple of years ago, my text wasn't getting to my wife (she received some), and some of hers I would not get. She called her carrier and they told her her text shows in their system as being sent. So I called sprint and the rep told me that its not a problem with their system. And I was on the phone with the rep for a while. But nothing about an agreement between networks was ever mentioned. After a few months of not texting...I tried again and my messages started going through.
Now I text my wife on a different network...and this is a landline carrier...don't have any problems at all. Doubt a text agreement would be in place with a landline provider...but all my texts get through. Like I said...if its not sprint....its a problem with your fiancee's network. Have you tried texting her using your brother's verizon line?...and her texting you back on it? Because if the messages comes over without a problem using your brother's cell on verizon....then its a problem with the sprint network. |
