Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)
So, no new updates? Just keep calling till you can get a rep that will change you to the W plan to activate? I want to get the 2 year upgrade so I've got twice the problem. Any new information would help!

Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)
Hey all, I know this post is over a month old, but one never knows! After reading this ENTIRE thread, I am still a bit apprehensive. let me explain why:
Several years ago, I got the free and clear 1500 plan with unlimited data for $15/month minus a 27% employee discount. This discount I got from a friend who used to work for sprint but no longer does and whom I cannot really contact anymore. Throughout the entire time I've been with sprint, neither myself nor the other 3 people on my account (all the same plans) has ever contacted sprint regarding anything (including those pesky text message overages) for fear of breaking the "if it aint broke, dont fix it" rule. my questions: 1. Is it even cool for me to even contact sprint? Can they change my plan willy nilly if I inquire about getting the Evo (eg if they see that I really shouldnt have this plan or something to that effect)? 2. What is the best way of pursuing the evo? I am willing to pay full price for the phone in the hopes of keeping my plan the way it is but I would prefer if I do so after the fact (that is, I call sprint and order the phone through them). |

Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)
FYI,
I came on here to see if Andriod is running well on the TP2 yet has I am hating the lag on mine from the poopy windows program I have on it then ran in to this thread. I just spoke to my rep (*2 on the phone) and told them 'I was just cleared by my local rep to get the EVO. Is this true?' The lady put me on hold for a few sec, came back and told me "I am good to go, but a $10.00 4G may apply!" The Direct Line for this service is 888-876-8381 3rd party customer care. Good luck everyone! (FYI, I have changed my job 7 times sense the start of the phone service in 1994) Last edited by canosgmk; 11-04-2010 at 05:39 PM. |

Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)
Just wondering. I gave up doing this because Sprint told me a while back I can't but now I see all these posts I'm going to try again with all these ideas. My question is I want the Samsung Epic. This should work the same for the epic as the evo, correct?
