You know what would be funny? if this effects those on the premium $10 a month extra data pack..it would be priceless lol

but dont worry I'm sure they'll release a 20$ data pack extra called the "omega ultimate data pack" that prevents you from being throttled..rejoice..

Well since we are doing crazy speculations..I'm guessing with the new WP7 phones they releasing a NEW data plan for 20$ a month..so the old $10 a month is still unlimited but throttled..then 20$ a month for no throttling...

It all makes sense if you think about it:/

I hope this is some wrong information... it looks like now unlimited is what it actually means: unlimited but SLOW (1X) speeds even on a 3G connection...

Hopefully this will only be applied once customers go over the 5Gb cap, similar to what T-Mobile has done. Dan Hesse recently said there is no plan for tiered data plans on Sprint. Perhaps Sprint will throttle over 5Gb (not many people use this much data anyway) and also offer the option to pay an extra $10/month for truly unlimited data like us EVO users.

I would think if you not a person that tethers a lot it would not be much of a issue. Maybe it's there way at getting back at all the people that tether for free?

Hasn't the fine print always said "... limited to 5Gb..."?"

no it didn't sprint added it at one point and it only pertains to data cards and PAM....

That said right now your plan is unlimited..BUT throttling isn't limiting the amount you can dld, it just limits at the speed you can download it at..so even now you may have "truely unlimited" 1kb a sec unlimited is worth squat lol
