4g in Miami!
Finally had a taste of 4g speeds in Miami. I was shocked that I had a strong connection as I drove along I95 today. Looked at my phone and there it was.
Stayed that way for about 3hrs no matter where I went. From downtown Miami till 82nd street.with a signal that radiated speeds from 3000kb to 5000kbs. I'm hoping they'll have it working in south beach too where I live.......... Oh well. Now it's gone. Probably was just a test run. But no matter, because it truly is a test of what's to come. On that note, happy to report that my battery didn't seem to be affected one bit as I streamed about 20 youtube videos and 5 groove shark radio songs never dropping the signal during this time. Tested 4g with- SPEED TEST app Battery dropped from 90% to 70% using 4g in approximately 3 hrs. Last edited by hughedee; 09-27-2010 at 01:52 PM. |

Re: 4g in Miami!
Not getting it in Ft. Lauderdale, but the building I'm in has a signal repeater that Sprint installed (since our reception in our building was horrible).
3.29.651.5, but only PRI 1.40... guess I should try to update that

Re: 4g in Miami!
Just tried to flash to 1.77 from recovery... went through the process but still booted as 1.40. I know a lot of people are going back to 1.40 or 1.34 after trying 1.77 because of battery life/other issues, so I think I'll wait for now.

sprint.com to see if texas has it and 4g works with a 4g phone or data card. |
