Confirm/Deny? Swap phone numbers SERO to other plan

So I have been with Sprint since 2000. I wanted to get EVO but keep SERO. Figured I'd give SERO to my girlfriend, and keep EVO plan for myself. Now I called Sprint, who told me that I won't be able to swap phone numbers.

Did anyone recently try it? Take SERO number and put it on Everything Data, and take Everything Data phone number and put it on SERO?

If you are out of contract the easiest to do is to get EVO with new number under your plan. Once active tell them to swap the numbers. When everything is set with the rebate etc, transfer the liability to your gf so it will be under her name. Thanks if you like this response. I did this before with my wife palm pre (unfortunately I cannot transfer my liability )...wish it is my gf.

I don't not think you will have much luck doing a TOL to your girlfriend. I tried the exact same thing. Sprint denied me everytime. I even cancelled the line and their manager begged me if there was anything else they could do for me to keep that line. I told them if they can't do a TOL on it, then just close it. And they closed it.

Re: Confirm/Deny? Swap phone numbers SERO to other plan

i just bought an evo today and try to do the exact same thing, swapping JUST my phonr number from sero to evo. they said they cant do it bc they cant find sero in their system since it an expired plan. i was hoping to be abe to keep my number that ive had for almost 13yrs and sell my sero plan so we can keep it alive. everytime i call them they suggest i open a third line to move my number to or upgrade my sero to an ED plan even thouhg i just activated my new phone today.
