Walmart, Sprint, and WiMax/4G

anyone remember when Sprint was trying to convince Walmart to stick WiMax on all the Walmart stores?? it was back in january... http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/12/s...imax-buildout/

http://gizmodo.com/5446647/is-sprint...-every-walmart

well now Sprint has its foot in the door @ Walmart after inking the "common sense" mobile pre-paid stuff..
http://www.businesswire.com/portal/s...81&newsLang=en
sprint was the only Major carrier not represented at Walmart until recently im pretty sure.. (vrigin moble and boost aside)..

so im wondering what you guys think.. think this will deal will go through now?? this tiny little pre-paid deal, could turn out to be the forefront for sprint getting Wimax on every Walmart store.. and getting 4G rolling alot faster

Oh yeah, it's definitely my thought when I saw that announcement.
Ppl pooh pooh Sprint's rollout but the WiMAx equipment is NOT having to building cell towers.
It's adding small boxes to many different platforms to carry the signal faster & cheaper.

Re: Walmart, Sprint, and WiMax/4G

Now if Clear would start selling service out of Wal-Mart, it might cause a bigger push to get WiMax towers on the top of every Wal-Mart that sells Clear internet service... this way the WiMax coalition could have a greater argument with Wal-Mart... just another source of revenue besides cell phones.
