Sprint contract renewed without telling me? Down with WM up with Android!
Alright so here's the situation.
I originally purchased the HTC mogul, loved it at first but soon realized that there were numerous issues. I purchased a Touch Pro for my GF's brother, he had already gotten one so i started to play with it. Fell in love. So, since they wouldn't let me renew my agreement (i was like 4 months out), i paid the nice price tag of about $400 for the phone.
Thennnnnnn i soon realized that the TP had just as many problems, just in different aspects. So after a lot of *****ing and complaining and going into numerous stores for them to "fix" my phone, i was transfered through ranks until finally they offered me a TP2.
Here's where the issue comes in, the lady never once told me that my contract would be renewed, the only thing i was told was that i had to give them a CC number and they would charge me like 2 bucks or something (which is true).
So now that i heard about the HTC Evo, i've decided it's time to leave windows mobile in the dust. After 3 generations of the phone i've had enough. I've learned it's not the hardware, it's the software.
I got to use one of the new androids on Verizon as my work phone for like 2 weeks before my boss got back in town (haha let's not tell him that)...and i love it. It's quick, responsive, SOOO many apps. It is what made me look into android phones on sprint.
So i see the EVO is coming out soon and i figured hell, all i gotta do is renew my contract. Well i just looked online and talked with someone to make sure i could get it....and to my surprise, my contract was renewed and will not expire until 9/1/2011.
Which is the date that i got the TP2 --- 9/1/2009
Is there anything i can do about this? I know the TP2 is an expensive phone but the lady never once told me that i was going to renew my contract. Plus they made me give up the TP. Im sure they record conversations so im sure they can go back and listen to everything, i just want to see what you guys think.
I'm just afraid of getting stuck with paying another $400-500 for a phone that hopefully works!
I've convinced my boss to let me expense my cell phone so i will soon be using my sprint account for business and personal.
Should i just pay the $160 to cancel my account and then purchase the EVO? Should i call and ***** and say they never even told me it would be renewed?
Thanks for the help guys!
