I wouldnt be surprised if they do bring new plans and these plans end up being cheaper or offer more.
I would ether but God knows rasing plan prices right now could be the death of them so they better make nice and keep it cheap.

Re: Upgrading from $30 SERO to Evo 4g...Best Plan?

I believe this Evo plan pricing will be for the mifi option because there is no phone that has real mifi capabilities like this one does. I also crossing my fingers for simultaneous voice and data to really make this add on shine.

I would never a extra monthly fee for it but im sure there are so many that would (within reason).

This is FALSE..

If you take your sero and get the EPRP plan at 59$ you get premier status just like the 69$ plan.

More that likely this EPRP $59. with 500 min, unlim data & txt, will be compatible with the evo. All other android phones sprint offers right now are.. Unless you have a corp discount you should take the $59 plan. If you for what ever reason go with the $69 plan and they switch you account from employee to consumer, you will never ever be able to get back on it..

Right now the only thing I see as being beneficial to the EPRP over the consumer 69$ ed plan is getting to talk to better reps when calling in with a problem. If you can add a corp discount you have no other choice. 69$ ed plan will probably be the bare min to get the EVO. Don't forget to get your 10$ off for 24 months! There offering this to SERO customers that are switching from Sero 30$/50$ to the 69$ ED plan.. After this rebate you will pay the same thing as EPRP 59$ but have 50 less minutes a month.

But big hint! Even a 15% corp discount added to 69$ ed plan with the 10/24 deal is less than the Sero 50$ or EPRP 59$ for 2 years.. 15%of 69 =10.49 69-10-10.49=48.51 My bill just got a few cents cheaper.

Re: Upgrading from $30 SERO to Evo 4g...Best Plan?

Tectronus, I currently get a 20% corporate discount on my SERO plan that was transferred from my previous plan. Wouldn't that same discount apply to the EPRP plan? Other posters have said that you can't add a new discount to the EPRP plan, but existing discounts will transfer.

Also, the EPRP site shows the $59.99 plan with, "Data: Web surfing, email, GPS Navigation, Sprint TV and Radio, BlackBerry Internet Services (BIS)". I take that to mean that EPRP also gets unlimited Nav & TV. Why do you see it differently?

What sero do you have now and what did you transfer from??

I still would say good luck with getting a corp discount from sero 30 getting applied and sticking to EPRP 59.. Specially now..

I guess ill take the Nav & TV thing back.. I never saw that but okies..

I'm on the $30 "Sprint Employee Referral Fair and Flexible - 500 Anytime Minutes Included". I don't remember what plan I had before, but it was a standard plan with about 350 minutes that I had when I first joined Sprint back around 2001. I do remember getting the corporate discount when I first joined through a Sprint representative that came to the office.

The $6.00 discount covers most of the $7.00 TEP, which is nice, and I should become a Premier customer next year.

Re: Upgrading from $30 SERO to Evo 4g...Best Plan?

From what i have seen, a lot of people are saying that likeliness of switching from sero 30 to the new sero EPRP 59 and getting corporate discounts to stick now, not months ago, are next to nil. Never hurts to try though.

IMHO even coming from sero30 to the ED plan with the 2 year discount and your corp discount seems pretty fair. I went this route because I have a feeling that they will restructure the new sero after two years just like there doing now. I rather pay alittle more now and be able to ride the wave out then to get restructured again and pay more down the road. Who knows though....

Re: Upgrading from $30 SERO to Evo 4g...Best Plan?

I just don't know if I can give my plan up.

So has anyone here RECENTLY changed to EPRF and there add-on's stuck??? My add-on's on top of stock sero 500 are:

*First Incoming Min Free
*3 Unlimited Calls 2 Any 3 Numbers
*2 Unlimited Calls 2 Any 2 Numbers
*1 Unlimited Calls 2 Any 1 Number (LD Promo)
*Free N/W @ 6
*25% Discount
*Tiered Billing over 500 (this might be stock, I dunno)

Now the only one I really care about is the 25% discount. Would be nice to keep the others but with anymobile anytime I don't care all that much.

I just know I'm gonna get screwed cause the rep is gonna tell me it will stick, I'm gonna get my bill it won't be on there. If I call back they are gonna tell me I'm on crack and they never said that. I really want the evo and if not the evo eventually gonna have to suck it up and switch anyway. I'm gonna be premier next year as well (10+ years)

I would actually rather have the evo with a keyboard but haven't heard anything about that.

So anyone get screwed or have success with bringing there "perks" over to EPRP?

well i had a plan just like yours and my whole account was getting the 25% off. then i added a line for the 69.99, the 2nd line does not receive the 25% off but the main sero line does. If i change my plan the rep told me i would lose the 25% off the sero as well. I don't know if its true because i ported my 2nd number to tmobile for the nexus one and my sero line is still getting 25% off. I think when i change it, i will lose it.
