Tell the specialist that you heard there was a way for them to keep track of " target customers" and that they offered good deals to those people to keep them on if they want to port out. Say you're thinking you want to leave, and want to know what they offer you. If you're on eprp then you are at the bottom of the totem pole. If you've EVER made late payment in the last 12 months then you are the bottom rung. They are no BS smart, cultured, well informed people in the retentions department (ha, i bet they'd love to hear me say that) and I love speaking with them. They will tell you straight up if they give a damn about keeping you or not. |

Whoops this was supposed to be a combined post.

When I wanted the htc hero from best buy the system only showed me eligible for normal prices 69.99 450 minute everything plus data plan. Best buy couldn't help me. Sprint store couldn't help me. Called in and a rep couldn't help me. Called back and she was like, "Uh, OF COURSE I can get you off sero and put you on a higher cost plan. Here's the 59.99 plan w/ 450 minutes! Oh btw, that's only landlines, now calls to all cells are 100% free, technically it's better than SERO, ya dig?" I'm like F.Yeah i dig! Went to best buy. They have two ways to log in. They couldn't on one. THey did on the other bam, turns the monitor to me to show the Employee referral plus data plan at 59.99 w/500 min. Just like the first link below. (google for email address if you need it.) http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...us+plan+sprint Quote:
People applied corporate and student discounts to sero. I don't know why you think that they didn't. Just cause one rep said they can't is bologna. Request your corp discount online, through chat, log the whole convo. If it doesn't work, don't get hostile. Close and try again. This one IS dependent on the rep you get cause some just don't like to stack discounts. You are NOT a target customer. [quick edit: sources include my current student discount on eprp referral plan and my friends corp discount with the Tennessean Newspaper] |

You ARE eligible for it. There's no dispute. Ask for a manager then. They just don't like to get you below xx amount of dollars (I can't remember what it is now, i think recently they upped it to 70) and are "discouraged" from applying corporate discounts.
When I worked at best buy cust service we were "discouraged" from giving money back on returns, ok. It's store policy to return yeah sure. But KEEP THE MONEY IN THE STORE, the managers would say. Like a mantra. Offer exchanges, offer store credit, there was a whole freaking flow chart on what to do if people wanted their money back, the LAST thing on the chart was to give their money back. We could even do exchanges outside of the xx day return for that particular category of item. But we were even more strict. However the customer is COMPLETELY entitled to that money back even if rep tells them, uh sorry, we usually don't do that. Get another rep, call a manager, anything you need to do. If a company offers something to everyone in their policy, then they have to uphold that until they change their policy, however they don't have to make it easy... |
Re: Upgrading from $30 SERO to Evo 4g...Best Plan?
as i pointed out above, it's not like this is some game. They keep track of this stuff. They are well trained. They have procedures they follow. The only reason people feel like playing hardball works is because HR has done a damn good job to make sure that you feel that way once you jump through all the required hoops to get something done. People generally do not understand this nor have any concept (or awareness for that matter) of the field of corporate psychology.
