Best way to go 4G

I'd like to get one of the 4g connection cards now that 4g is the same price as 3g. (I think it's a promotion too so limited time)

I have two choices it seems.

1.) Get a new line with the 4g then close out my current 3g line

2.) Buy a 4g card at full price and upgrade.

Are there any rules against number 1?

Also, if I get a 4g/3g plan, could i esn swap my Mifi if I was going to be in a non 4g region of if I had friends or family with me.

I'm not to sure I want to get a Overdrive.

Re: Best way to go 4G

4g speeds aren't much better at this point. I think I would wait.

Re: Best way to go 4G

how much does it cost or whatever to get 4g? because on my sprint account, at sprint.com, sprint sent me a message stating 'i am living in a well established 4g area and they want to offer me a 4g card for free, if i agree to a bill or sum shit, i havent really looked into it that much, just that it was like a 300-400 dollar 4g card., for FREE

Re: Best way to go 4G

Go to sprint.com and check out the plan details for the modem you are looking at. OP,those are good questions and a call to tech support might be in order. I was thinking about the 4/3g modem but I live in a 3g area. Another good question would be if the 5GB cap is applied or lifted on the fly when switching between 3g and 4g areas(3g 5GB cap & 4g is unlimited). I may call them myself.

Re: Best way to go 4G

I live in Baltimore MD so I would be able to get the full benefits of 4g, and considering it's the same price as the 3g plan, I'm really tempted.
