I might be leaving Sprint for the HD2

I've been with sprint for about 4 years now and I must say I'm fed up. Their piss poor customer service, refusal to update date phones, and lackluster line up of phones has led me a stray. Now i'm by no means a fan of T-Mobiles service but they have some of the best phones on the market. What I want to know is if I were to leave Sprint is T-Mobiles service up to par with Sprints? My girlfriend has T-Mobile and doesn't seem to have an issue but she really doesn't know anything about phones. So i'm hoping you guys can steer me in the right direction.

Re: I might be leaving Sprint for the HD2

If your expecting that the grass is greener with customer service with a another provider, don't count your chickens just yet. They all have problems, I'm with Verizon and I have been with them for about 10 years now (how time flies). Even tho they have gotten better, I could tell some nightmare stories.

I've heard some really bad things(nightmares) about T-mobile too (never mind their coverage but, all depending on where you are). I guess it all depends on who you get on that day when you decide to call.

When it all comes down to it, you really never have to call them unless you have a problem. After all, If you have the phone you want and have the service that you need, why would you ever need to call them ? Right ?!

I'd start with, Coverage (do you get coverage where ever you are ? You are going to a GSM network from a CDMA, so it will be different), Phone you want (yes, HD2 right ?) and Price per month (for talk, text and data), If they all look good and your out of a contract, then go for it...what do you have to lose ?

I was scratching my head on that one too! I think Verizon probably does w/ the Droid, TP2, Tour, Imagio, and the updated Palms.

Phones will always change. Now that the HD2 is sounding like it won't officially get WP7s, I stopped caring about it. Besides, Sprint has ALWAYS been good to me and righted any wrong, no matter how slight. They've even forgiven me on overages and kicked me plenty of phones, and I have NEVER played the retentions game or filed a remotely fraudulent claim.

The secret to getting good customer service, this is a shocker, BE POLITE! Any CS rep gets sick of his/her job in a hurry. Be polite and friendly. Make small talk. Connect with them. They will view you as a person and not an angry customer. From there, if you need to escalate, remain polite. You'll ALWAYS get your way (as long as it's reasonable).
