Thumbs down What to Do for a TP2 ?

I'm trying to leave my Diamond behind, almost a year now, it looks real hurt.

Plus I would love a bigger screen and miss a keyboard immensely!

With the price Sprint is asking for the TP2, I seriously doubt it I will get it through them! In February, I get $150 credit, but that still leaves the phone at $350 or more.

Here is my two part question, what should I do with my $150 credit from Sprint if it doesn't go towards a new phone through them ?

Second, does anyone know what Asurion is replacing the Diamond with ? A refurbished Diamond?, TP ?

I guess I will find a TP2 off Craigslist for about $250, I refuse to pay anymore then that.

Anyone's input is vastly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: What to Do for a TP2 ?

My thoughts exactly. Not willing to give Sprint $350 with a contract renewal. Had been exploring options on craigslist but luckily I have a friend that needs to switch to a Blackberry for work. He got his Touch Pro2 replaced at the Sprint store last week for a new one and is selling it to me for $200 on Friday. Yeah, no contract extension. I actually don't care for the keyboard, had one on my 6700 and never used it, but it's the best Windows Mobile Phone out right now and no sign of the HD2. $200 is about the top dollar I was willing to pay for the phone, I wonder if the reason they want $350 vs. $179 for the Hero and Moment is because they're not forcing you onto the newer, more expensive, Everything plans?

Re: What to Do for a TP2 ?

hey, thanks for the quick reply. Your getting a cool hook up for $200. I guess I'm just going to find 1 on CL, and not extent my contract with Sprint.

Re: What to Do for a TP2 ?

You can give this a shot, read the wiki in the second post, I got mine in dec. in a similar deal for $49.99 with my $150 upgrade.

Plus I'm hoping my $100 rebate goes through then it will be sprint paying me $50 and a tp2.

I almost bought one through the accenture site. The cheapest they have it now is $199. I already get a 22% discount, so I didn't want to risk losing that and possibly not getting the accenture discount. If I hadn't had a friend who is selling me his for $200 I may have gone that route. OP you may check into that deal!

Re: What to Do for a TP2 ?

Thanks for all the info off slickdeals! It seems like an awful lot of work, for a TP2.

I'm going to look into the accenture site, I guess I don't mind spending 199.

Thank you both so much for the insight shared.

Re: What to Do for a TP2 ?

Back to relive this mess. Today someone from Sprint named Carol reached out. She listened to my issues with regards to getting a TP2 for less than $349. She offered to ship for free, waive the activation fee, make the mail in rebate effective on the spot, and discount an extra $50. Final price $299, and I toke the bait, especially since my diamond is acting hella wacky!

So fine, we go through the back & forth of exchanging info, until the very end where she notes what I will be paying in taxes. Can you believe in the stank hole nYc is, I get charged nearly $70 on $299 ~~~!!!!~~~~ I canceled the order, and now am more angry then before.

Re: What to Do for a TP2 ?

i'd go through the sprint.com/accenture site. $199 plus you should get 25% off your bill every month. The phone is sweet. I ended up getting mine for $180 after selling my friends other Tp2.
