Sprint Premier Status

So, today is my 10 year anniversary with Sprint. When I spoke with a CSR a month or so ago (to verify I would be a premier customer) they said when January 6 comes around, I will be premier status and can get the Hero at the new customer price.

So I called today to verify and now they are telling me I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for my account to "transition" to premier status and I can't get the new customer price until then.

Has anyone run up against this before? It really irritates me to be told one thing last month and a different thing this month. With the Nexus One coming out and being the same price as the Hero (plan is $10 more a month), I guess switching to T-Mobile is an option.....

Yeah, I'll do that when I get home from work. I still have their number as (866) 235-1185. Hopefully that still works.

Re: Sprint Premier Status

I've heard of it taking up to 2 months for premier access to take affect but that is rare. If you must have a Hero call retentions. I would wait until after CES and see if Sprint has anything else coming out that would interest you more.

Re: Sprint Premier Status

wow I guess I lucked out I've been a premier customer since I can remember Actually can not remember not being since sprints take over of nextel. And according to several reps and two cs's from Dans office their system only goes back 6 years if your from Nextel just as a note lol
But I would think it would kick in on your anniversary why didnt the process start 6 weeks ago? lol

Re: Sprint Premier Status

you shouldve been a primier cust already... theres 2 ways: 10yrs of service OR(big or here) have a plan over 50bucks(might be lower) for 3 consecutive months without disruption(suspended services)...

so unless u have a really low rate on your plan, u shouldve already been a primier member, waaay b4 your 10yr aniv

Well, my bill was well below 50 dollars. I had an old fair and flexible plan for 29 a month and 7.50 a month for unlimited data and unlimited text (I don't know how I got so cheap of a plan). So, I had to wait until 10 years of service.

After talking with enough people at Sprint they manually pushed me to premier status instead of me waiting 4 to 6 weeks.....
