Re: Sprint Plans with Blackberry

I didn't look at the attached file, but it looks like that's the new SERO? EPRP, should already include BIS.

This is true, the EPRP would automatically switch its data plan to the BIS; however, the EPRP would be more expensive....something like $60.

From personal experience, I can tell you that you should be able to talk sprint down to what ever you would like. I was (still kinda am) on the sprint employee plan through RadioShack (3000 any time min, unlimited n/w, and unlimited text/data). When I switched from my Centro to an Instinct (HUGE mistake) they tried to make me change my plan to one of the new everything plans. Through talking to the CSRs I was able to keep my plan since it already included unlimited data.

When I switched to my BB it was a much longer fiasco. I'm still on the same plan, but I now have everything BB offers (extremely happy about that) for the same price that I was paying for my normal plan. Unfortunately, I did lose my $20 credit towards D/L per month....but that was something I wasn't using anyways (guessing they put it towards the BB addons).

Re: Sprint Plans with Blackberry

Being the one that started this thread, I figured I should at least thank everyone for the input...I got a BB...was able to leave the store with no data plan...The store rep told me that "it was a crap shoot" and to wait and see if it worked as is...

It didn't work for data, so I called and was able to add the BIS for $10 a month to my existing SERO plan.... No questions asked....It's working perfectly...

Thanks!!

Re: Sprint Plans with Blackberry

The last poster is correct...even if you had BIS service books you wouldn't get data without BIS provisioning which is set on your plan. Once your request hit the NOC you would be rejected. Just slap that Sprint rep in the face who wanted the $30 and pay your $10.
