BlackBerries Abound!

So, I'm in the Rennaisance in San Francisco today for a conference... fighting the Terminator's budget proposal, but thats another forum... and sitting in a room (way lower level, more to tell later) of 70-odd female executives... I'm telling you there were BB's all over those tables!! I saw ONE iphone, about 5 dumb phones, and the rest a mixture of Curves, Storms, and Bolds... I was impressed with us!

Now, on a sad note, my Sprint version sucked onions for signal in the "Lower Level" of the hotel which means my battery dropped to 60% before I gave up and turned it off... Now, in Sprint's defense, the Bold 9650 doesn't have a GREAT signal anyway, and we were deep in the middle of the lower level, but heck we were in a large metropolitan area... even more distressing, the VZW BB's were buzzing and ringing all day.

I hate to admit it, but my Storm2 gets a better signal then my Evo does most of the time.

Signal is definitely something to miss with Sprint vs VZW, but for me Sprint is worth it. It's not that often I have serious signal issue.

yeah i see a lot of people around with bb's. here at work at least half of the people has bb's. and most of them doesn't really know how to use a device like it except for text messaging and phone calls. sad really....

but anyways...you go ms eenie!! more power to you on fight him on his budget proposals. i work for the state and each year...have to worry about how much of a paycut i will get. even though i work for an agency that is self supporting and does not depend on the state budget whatsoever, we are still part of the game because we are mandated by the state, have to follow the civil service guidelines, and follow DPA. there's a lot of people out there saying that state workers this and that...but they don't realize at how much of a workload state employees has for the little pay that we get. most of these employees are just rank and file and have barely enough to get by each month. but anyways....that's another discussion. sorry to have gone off.

ms eenie...where abouts are you located? hope you don't mind me asking, im just wondering if you're around the sacramento area. because you went camping in placer county and now...you went off to the bay area. don't worry...i don't stalk people much...lol.

Hey, yeah, I'm with you on the don't realize the workload or the effect the budget as on various employees. We also have a county employee in the family who has to worry about budget.. grrrr

that's cool...you're not too far from me. im out here in vacaville. down the street from the kaiser hospital off I80. used to live in martinez a few years back.

but to get back on topic....MY TOUR HAS BEEN DELIVERED!!!!! now im itching to pretend im sick so i can go home and get in activated on my line...LOL. but it's ok, off work in two hours. i can wait.

Ha! When my bold arrived at work I said not even opening box, too much to do and I don't want to be distracted. Didn't work even the closed box was distracting, I went him sick withbtins of work on the table!
