Windows Mobile Device Center Alternative

After reading several posts, it appears Microsoft will not make WMDC compatible with a 64-bit version of Outlook.
They're work around solution is to switch to a 32-bit piece of software.
Alternatively, people have been using 3rd party products to sync Outlook with Gmail, and then sync gmail with their phones.
Any work on making WMDC compatible with 64 bit office would be appreciated by many. Also, more viable solutions than the 3rd party software would be helpful, as reviews suggest numerous errors.
Thanks

Re: Windows Mobile Device Center Alternative

A current work around for people not wanting to uninstall Office 64-bit.

1 - Set up activesync on your phone to sync with your exchange server directly.

2 - Each time you connect your phone to a wifi spot or usb connection, go to activesync and hit sync

3 - Rejoice in keeping your office 64-bit

Although a simple piece could sync your outlook and exchange server, and then your phone and the server each time you plug your phone to your computer would be great. Anyone able to make this possible?
