Battery Improvement on a TP2 with Android?

Hey guys,

I must confess - I am pretty inexperienced when confronted with this stuff - I don't know what a kernal is, unless you're talking about a kernal of corn. For me, a CAB is something you ride in.

I barely was able to get the software loaded (I just copied/pasted the file and ran it,) and it's working on.

That being said - what are some simple (I can do difficult if I have good instructions) ways I can increase battery life? I did something with a SD app yesterday to increase the cache - but, what more can I do to increase battery life?

Thanks guys.

Jeremy

Re: Battery Improvement on a TP2 with Android?

Battery life... hum. The main things would just be diligent care of settings - for example, don't set every app to sync every 5 minutes. If you can live without an app syncing, disable the sync.

My Speed Improvements thread actually has some good tips that will help speed and battery life. The memory topic will help kill apps when not in use, and the DroidWall topic will help keep apps from getting net access when you don't want them to - just use with caution! I could see an app trying to sync constantly and being blocked by DroidWall causing issues... So if you do block an app, make sure it's not set to sync automatically!

When im not using data , i just simply disable it , i installed a widget to put on the main home screen that works fantastically . i can go all day without going under 50 % battery life when im just enabling data when i want to use it . i also have the v6 supercharger script running so that may also be adding to my battery life .
