Question Please Help, about the kernel

Hi guys~! Thank you for the wonderful works! To the DEVs!
I’m using my RHOD400 CDMA world phone, carrier is ChinaTelecom, with UIM card inserted(I knew that the original build is for “no CDMA UIM card” so far). I got hit by the auto-reboot problem.
So far I use kernel 1232(zImage-2.6.27.46-01232-gb7033df modules-2.6.27.46-01232-gb7033df.tar.gz) so well, I can make a call, got 3G connection, reboot loop nerver happen. When I replace with the kernel 01276, it cause auto-reboot after the first run——the home screen showed just around 5 secs, shortly after the phone got full signal, then reboot by itself.
I’d tried many times using different builds, include FRX05, but still the same. I found that when I turn off air-plane mode, let it connect to the carri, will make it auto-reboot.
Yesterday, I’d tried the kernel from 01232 to 01245, found that 1242 is OK, but from 1245 on(sorry for the mistake I'd made, not 1254), auto-reboot happened. Wondering what is the different between them, I try to visit gitorious.org to read the souce code green and red, but since I’m not a DEV, I got no conclusion.
Also, I try logcat, but from the log file I can’t tell what is the key info. How can I log the kernel debug info? CMD “cat proc/kmsg” seems not log all the kernel messages.
Attachment is the logfile, Please help! Thank you.

Re: Please Help, about the kernel

There's a thread over at XDA about this sort of problem I believe. Or wait for arrrghhh to poke his head in here and offer his recommendation as he's way more knowledgable about this and in touch with the bugs and fixes or work arounds. Never had this issue as I run cdma in the states, but I do believe the thread over at XDA may be able to offer some assistance. IIRC the fix was to immediately put it in airplane mode and then enter your carriers vpn info although don't quote me on that.

Re: Please Help, about the kernel

Well... the fix that fish is talking about is for GSM folk having issues with their APN not being entered correctly - causing freezes.

Reboots are a little different. It helps that you've narrowed down where the issue starts, I'll see what's in that kernel...

Hrm, I'm a little confused by the OP.

Seems you're missing a few kernels - the autobuild site was down for a while, so if you need to test some interim kernels see F22's thread. Please narrow it down further, thanks.

Re: Please Help, about the kernel

Thanx to fishingmedic and arrrghhh!
I do tried the kernel in F22's thread, from 1232 to 1245, one by one.
I just only replace the ZImage and modules, in the same build FRX05, same RIL.
result:
1232: phone call OK, 3g data OK, no reboot happen
1233~1242: got signal but can't make a call, 3G OK, no reboot happen
1245: auto-reboot after got the signal

I wonder if the UIM card I inserted is the key point about, since this XDA thread said "the current ril is missing a lot of CDMA commands".
But why the kernel 1232 won't hit the issue?

I wanna log down all the kernel msg before it reboot, how to do this?
Thanx again.
