Does Google Maps 5.0 work?

At work right now so i cant really test it. Apparently Google maps 5.0 just got released and includes offline navigation. Can anyone verify if this works?

Re: Does Google Maps 5.0 work?

I just installed it on my phone. Seems to work fine, but half the new features, i.e. the rotation and 3D up-down panning seem to require multitouch. I don't see any way to access them from the UI.

I thought I read a while back that someone had come up with a hack to get multitouch working on our Touch Pro 2's as long as one finger stays still or something like that. Any chance of that making it into XDAndroid?
