"Failed to find rootfs on SD card" - HTC Touch Pro 2 - Has never booted
Hello,
Just to start out, I have been at this for the past 4 or so hours downloading different XAndroid versions trying to get Android to boot onto my HTC Touch Pro 2 on Sprint. The error that comes up every single time is I run haret.exe. It says booting Vogue Linux and errors out with Failed to find rootfs on SD card and hangs. I need to take the battery out in order to reboot. I haven't been able to run it once, I keep hearing this is a common problem after you've already ran OS a few times but it has never booted. I have downloaded from XDAndroid and Downloads - Project Android and also some torrent sites. The files are always the same, all the files are there and every single time it errors out at that point. I have picked the Rhodium startup files also so I dont think its that. Any information would be helpful. |

I highly recommend using this utility to format FAT32: SD Formatter 3.0 (Beta) for SD/SDHC/SDXC - SD Association
Make sure the file is named rootfs.img and is located under /sdcard/andboot. Also, your startup.txt should have rel_path=andboot in the set cmdline portion. |

Re: "Failed to find rootfs on SD card" - HTC Touch Pro 2 - Has never booted
What's your rel_path in the startup.txt...? Assuming that is pointing to a valid/correct location, and you have a rootfs.img in said location... It should work.
Nate already went over this tho folks... |
