Assuming you are talking about a CDMA phone:

Android works fine with the SIM card in, but data is another story. If your data is working, go ahead and try restarting a few times and see if it keeps on working... When I first started using Android, it worked with the SIM card about 30% of the time. I got frustrated with how random it was, gave up, and yanked the worthless SIM card.

Re: Android works with Sim!!!

Nate, do you think there will be a time that we can use a cdma phone with SIM card and not have issues? Reason I ask is since we got bent over by Skyfire, it looks like uZard is the only option we have for flash but from what I've read, it only works with the SIM card in. Personally I would rather have android running the way it is, was just wondering if there is a chance of us being able to use the SIM card.

In short, yes. We have model detection being done on nand, but getting that stuff committed to the main branch hasn't happene (and we've had the code for months).

I could make a custom rootfs for you to try though. Let me look into it tomorrow.

If you have the time that's great, but please, don't put off other stuff for it!! I'll test whatever you need, I don't mind resetting the phone up if it breaks, but don't want you taking your spare time away from other pressing things.
