CyanogenMod 6.0][03-10-2010][V1.0]

I know this is posted under the TP forums but this also works on our TP2's. So i thought i would post it here. I have recently tried this out and wow it is ridiculously fast. It runs damn near as fast as my friends moto droid 1 and the fps score in neocore was only 3 fps seconds less! He was also running the cyanrogen rom. I guess this Neopeek guy takes all the custom final android roms and ports them over for use on our WinMo phones. I just wanted to give people a heads up over here if they wanted to try something different.

The original thread is here [CyanogenMod 6.0][03-10-2010][V1.0] | Neopeek - Network

The install instructions are alot different than just placing the files on the storage card so make sure that you read the install guide found here

The Mother Tutorial - How to's/Where's/When's? - All right here! | Neopeek - Network

The only thing that doesn't work out of the box is the 3g data. You have to go to settings - wireless & networks - Mobile Networks - access point names - than hit the windows button and select new apn

for sprint the settings are

Name - Sprint
APN = #777

for Verizon
Name = Verizon
APN = #777
Username = your phone number@vzw3g.com
password= vzw

for both leave everything else blank

if you are on a different provider i do not know the settings sorry maybe try google??
when you are done hit the windows button and select save. back out and check the box so its highlighted green. give it a second and it will work.

The mic also still needs to be activated by calling your voicemail in windows and putting it on speaker phone before loading haret for it to work.

Enjoy!

I tried this build and although it's a little faster than Reefer's builds, the battery life on Reefer's builds are significantly better. I'm sticking with his builds. Thanks for this post though.

I've been using this setup for a month or two and I find it to be more stable than the xdandroid build. Just make sure you follow the instructions on partitioning your card otherwise you're in for a headache.

and fwiw, 3g worked right out of the box for me, but I'm on Sprint so that might be why.

And there's actually a few different ports for this setup

Hi, just wondering if you could guide me through how you set yours up. I formatted my memory card correctly but when I try to install from npkinstall I'm getting an error when it says its going to format the card which basically says it cant find what its looking for. I've extracted the files to the root of my micro sdhc card. Any tips?

Hardware? Nothing will work that doesn't work in XDAndroid (BT, camera, etc), they use the same kernel.

Did you make sure that you made all three of the partitions primary? And the ext2 shouldn't be over 512 and the linuxswap 64. Also something I did was I copied the image from the root and overwrite the zimage in the npkinstall folder before I installed it. And also you can use any kernel
With this build even he new battery fix one which works really well.

I didn't post this because I thought one was better than the other just wanted to let people know that there is other builds out there to tinker around with. I did have a real good experience with this build though.
