This is ridiculous and a non-issue. None of the other platforms except Blackberry even tell you that the data is collected in the first place. Why is Android being blamed for apps not telling you what they do with the data after it is collected?

Eh, I can see both sides of this argument. I don't want this type of data flying around, but you're absolutely correct in stating that other carriers/platforms do the same thing - without ANY warning whatsoever.

I think Google is getting targeted because they're newcomers, and their whole 'Don't Be Evil' thing... I can see how many feel this violates that statement.
