connecting to adhoc wifi network

Is there a way i can connect my tp2 running on android to an adhoc wireless network?
I have a 4G wireless card connected to laptop and sharing internet using an adhoc wifi network.
I am not able to see this network in the wifi list on my phone.

so you wanna connect your phone to the Aircard??? does it support mutliple devices? ie like "Mifi"...

could be your android build.. wifi works on some and others it doesnt.. some fixes people are using kill wifi and/or gps...

but you should be able to do it, i know that much

wifi does work for me on android...the problem is that i am not able to see "
adhoc" networks in the list

Try Connectify I use it when I want to share internet with my phone via wifi.

connectify looks really promising but unfortunately i am on XP
