Hey all,

Testing this kernel has concluded for the time being. The batt code has been pushed into GIT.

Re: [TESTING] New Kernel (Battery Status Fix!!)

Just wanted to report with a RHOD500 when I get to the slide to unlock screen on startup it vibrates then reboots. Going back to previous Zimage and module file for now. I am quite thrilled to see progress though, keep up the amazing work everyone!

Re: [TESTING] New Kernel (Battery Status Fix!!)

On RhodiumW (Sprint) I installed XDAndroid .CAB 2.2 (v1.6), updated to AOSP.FRX01.17.09.10_UPDATE_PACKAGE.7z, and this zImage / modules.

Phone boots into lock screen, when I try to unlock it phone reboots or shuts off having to turn it on.

Should I wipe data.img or revert back to stock XDAndroid 2.2 (v1.6) files and try this?

EDIT: I noticed it shows "GSM Phone Found" and I have force_cdma to 1...

Re: [TESTING] New Kernel (Battery Status Fix!!)

Sweet battery status seems to be working better .Was showing 15percent now 50 same as windows. :)
Also usb battery status shows charging. rhod500 took 2 reboots then it worked
nice thanks.

After reboot now shows charging but battery level is back to 10% windows shows 40%

Re: [TESTING] New Kernel (Battery Status Fix!!)

testing on rhod400 now will report back

1st report: Windows xp found new hardware and install was sucessfull booting now, 1st boot got to unlock screen and frooze as others posted.
2nd Boot: Noticed it did not like haveing the phone plugged into computer and reset.
3rd Boot: Without USB pluged in booted to unlock then another reset
4th Boot: Same as 3rd boot

Re: [TESTING] New Kernel (Battery Status Fix!!)

I'd be happy to test this out once modified.

I'd love to stay in Android and charge and not worry about WinMo any longer.

Re: [TESTING] New Kernel (Battery Status Fix!!)

On a RHOD 400 I am booting using Haret.exe and getting a lock up . It hits the first Android home screen locked with no service and no ability to unlock. As others have said this is a welcome fix and I would love to try more kernels on my phone

Re: [TESTING] New Kernel (Battery Status Fix!!)

Ok, i just realized that this includes the batt fix that is broken. It was only supposed to be a patch to include the new usb drivers. Those drivers work well on nand so its only fair that everyone enjoys them. I may release a test kernel tonight with just usb and we will worry about the battery later.

Cool dude, keep me posted so I can update the first post :D

camro asked me to post my dmesg, so here it be!

If anyone would also like to post their dmesg and Android dies before they can do anything, add "dmesg >> /sdcard/dmesg.log" to your froyo.user.conf in the custom_shells section. Then after booting Android, wait for it to reboot... then grab the dmesg.log file off of your SD and post it here so the devs can sort out what's going on!

Huh... I can't boot at all. What build are you using damage_them?

Ah, I forgot this kernel can probably do NAND... didn't even try that lol. I was always using the new Reference build! Thanks, I'll check out both of those independently!

Ok, couldn't get this working on Ref or Blazn on Haret, but NAND test seems to be a go... I need to verify it is in fact using the new kernel tho.

Let me know if u need me to flash Tinboot and test as well.. I have FRX01.16.09.10 and ready to flash NAND boot...

This is going to be awesome if it will eventually work. I will definitely hit the thx button

i dont really know what about the battery fix that is broken but this works for me..ive been running for a couple hours and there is no meter jumping or nothing of that sort..this is the most stable ive seen the battery meter!! even with the led staying red it hardly affects the meter ..the phone does get a lil warm due to the fact that im running nand boot and the light doesnt go off when the phone is asleep...in my words i would say this runs perfect!! good work mehn!!(seems like im the only person this worked with..lucky me :) )

Re: [TESTING] New Kernel (Battery Status Fix!!)

Its not working running off SD Card. Nand might be working fine but not for those of us using the original method. I froze at lockscreen after boot. Using latest Reference Build

Re: [TESTING] New Kernel (Battery Status Fix!!)

how do you run nand boot and so it wont run off the sd card?

Ha, I did get this working using the NAND. Basically the same experience... In addition, I'd like to say that the AC/USB did not work at all. Both when charging with the USB & AC, it would say it was charging then go to 100%. USB tether or adb did not work.

Not working yet... It's being worked on.

Yes, I did read the BIG FONT, and I was only replying to damage_them because he was saying it was working fine and that he might be lucky, yet he's running Nand, which by reading previous posts from him, seems like its working on people running Nand only. As for us who tried it running the .rar or .cab its not working.

No, this has nothing to do with nand. That kernel doenst work on any other device besides rhod so we would never distribute it to the other devices. Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry haven't gotten any updates on this yet. Not sure what the deal is. Still not sure if this is the right kernel for this device... RAPH guys reported good things, but I couldn't get this to boot at all unless it was on NAND.

it is alright arrrghhh no rush just when you do get an update try to post as quickly as possible so we can start testing it. thx for all the hard work you devs are putting into this.

when you plug it in to charge does your battery percentage go down instead of increase because that is what mine is doing
