8-30 and 9-16 builds crashing

I am experimenting with xandroid on the touch pro2. I tried the 8-30 builds, (both .rar and .cab, plus BLZN), and Android crashes shortly after opening browser, both stock and Skyfire. Even crashes shortly after opening speedtest.net. (It works pretty well otherwise, but can't use browser at all)

So I tried the 9-16 .cab build, and it crashes about 30 seconds after bootup if I open the keyboard. If I don't open the keyboard, it also crashes shortly after opening browser.

I have tried 3 different microSD cards (two of them were 2gb, and one was 8gb),(yes, I did full formats on them before)

In full disclosure, the microSD cards are NOT class 6, they are just standard Sandisk cards.

I ordered a new "Topram" class 6 card, hopefully that will work.

Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

Re: 8-30 and 9-16 builds crashing

Build 8/30 worked fine for me besides random restarts.. but that every few days. The 9/16 build however, would crash 30 secs after it booted to the desktop like you said.

Re: 8-30 and 9-16 builds crashing

Are you guys starting with clean builds? I've never had this issue with the new build. Granted I've had random restarts/resets, but never after 30 seconds of using the system - also never after opening the keyboard...

So don't reuse anything. Start with a clean build. The class of the card probably doesn't have a huge effect on Android... in theory it may run a little snappier, but who knows if that's true or just the placebo effect.

Yes, I have tried all of the 8-30 builds and the 9-16 build fresh on 3 newly formatted MicroSd cards.

How are you formatting the cards? I don't think it'll work if you use the wrong startup, but you are using the startup.txt for the RHOD500, yes?

I'm honestly not sure what your issue could be outside of maybe something wrong with your phone... Because I've never had those problems.

I just downloaded the 916 build seems to work just fine... no stability issues yet.

I have been using the startup.txt file for the Tilt2, but just tried RHOD500, it didn't crash when opening the Keyboard, but still crashes when opening the browser.

I have been full formatting the cards in fat32 on the PC before loading the Android files.

I've heard the Windows method of formatting can cause issues... guys have reported success with GParted & the HP Storage Card Format Tool...

Formatted the SD card in another android handset, and still crashing when opening the browser....I did try yahoo.com, and it didn't crash, but for whatever reason, the browser crashes before google.com is done loading.

LOL that's just baffling. I guess your Android doesn't do Google dude... I'm seriously at a loss here.
