Dead TP2 ????

Sup guys. There has been a lot of excitement lately with the nand boot as well as progress made in the development in sound. To continue with the progress and to prevent the loss of momentum we need to learn more about the Tp2 at the hardware level (In order for us to do this, we need a test tp2 board). Unfortunately this is a one way process, so it would be a shame to tear apart a working tp2.

So if anyone out there has a broken tp2 and is willing to donate it to the team, please let me know so we can make the arrangements. If no one has one around, we will start taking donations to buy one off ebay.

If anyone knows of someone who has actually taken the tp2 apart, let me know as well since they may be able to answer some questions for us.

I thought there was someone on here tearing apart a TP2 to get Open GL working or something.

Anyways, i have taken mine apart a few times and it's pretty simple to do and get put back together if that helps. (trying to get a touchstone charger to work, unsuccessfully)

That guy disappeared and no word ever since. He was not a dev but some xda member. We actually need to desolder the board, not just disassemble.

damn acl i just replaced mine through insurance. if i known this 2days ago i would of said it was lost instead of broken. i just sent it out this morning. worked fine had cracked screen. shit. lol Im pretty sure dash has torn this phone apart before. i can talk to him tonight and ask him to look at this thread. but i think all he did was change the case.

Jonpry is trying to trace down some connections to some of the chips that handle sound. He has a good hardware background so we are looking at some on ebay as well. I'll be the first to donate if it goes to that extent.. but i figured someone here may have a broke one around.

Does this board have to be in a condition where it can power on? Some stuff is missing, but you get the idea.
