Re: NAND boot testing. Test 3 to fix wifi

WoZ, I tried to catch you on IRC, wanted to let you know TS3 not happening today... it seems that my server wants to be totally port locked... even though the firewall is off...

Re: NAND boot testing. Test 3 to fix wifi

Wozz: I have a few changes for the kernel .. lets discuss this tonight. Worse case i'll post the files here with instructions. The clocks and irq files need to be updated. Hopefully it helps fix some issues.

Re: NAND boot testing. Test 3 to fix wifi

I have installed it to NAND and was wanting a way to boot back to the SD card and next thing I knew after holding down the power button I eventually was back to running off the SD. Charging worked for a little bit, I can send text messages but still no call sound.

Wozz: ok.. it all makes sense to me now.. i was too tired last night to realize that these clocks are set by arm9 during boot, but we still need to be able to control them. We are actually supposed to shut them back down during the clock_late_init but we dont. This is why your dumps still have the original values (which surprisingly is all you need to get into android). So all of the clock work wasnt useless and hopefully i have another test tonight.

Re: NAND boot testing. Test 3 to fix wifi

You can actually use the RHOD210 one (or any of them for that matter). The only real difference between them is the keyboard mapping, and 400/500 use htc_hw.force_cdma=1. If you just want to test, the RHOD210 (T-mo I think) should be fairly close. Close enough to test out it booting and finding out what breaks.
