Wifi router or USB tethering please

I echo the question on Wifi Tethering...since this is Froyo 2.2 - where's the Wireless Hotspot Tethering option? Is there something I need to install? If I can tether, I have no more use for WinMo on this device.

Had one of those "duh" moments. LOL I actually downloaded that then tried something else I found in the market (with no success). Thinking back when I posted I thought I had tried the post above. Now I realize I haven't.

Here's why I didn't - I'm terribly new to this Android stuff - I downloaded the APK and added it to my SD Card, but can't for the life of me figure out how to install it. LOL I can't seem to find it in Android.

I'm sure I'm missing something stupid so off to google how to install apks. LOL

I still am curious though, I thought Froyo had wifi tethering built-in? Is it being purposefully removed to keep the size down or something like that?
