The EVO can not absolutely positively NOT be put on Boost without altering the MEID/ESN by means that are not allowed to be discussed here.

I don't care what anyone posts, or says, it's simply not possible. When the MEID is 'entered' the boost rep sees on the screen "Incompatible plan type" and it goes no further. They are not allowed to even click the "activate" button.

I have a friend that is a bit of an insider w/ these things. He's tried about a dozen EVO MEID numbers, he has a few friends that work for Sprint and another friend that works for boost. The EVO is not compatible w/ boost PERIOD.

Please see this post..

I trust the sources over there implicitly.

No comments necessary. There are legal ways and illegal ways to activate any phone on almost any carrier.

Legally, it's not possible to activate an EVO on boost. Period. Same thing as the moment. It's a Sprint exclusive device and not compatible w/ boost.

masetas, did you read the thread that I linked to ?

Did you read the comments and posts I made in the thread that boredandtattooed linked to ?

(boredandtattooed, I'm certainly not attempting to drag you into a debate either )

Just pointing out facts.

remove the SIM card w/ the phone powered off.

upon startup the phone will recognize that there's no SIM and will switch to CDMA only mode.

any WM ROM should work.

personally I'm using BigMaxSense
