Re: Found solution to have simcard and have Android up and running CDMA
So why post this now? Announcing you'll share later. Just post when you're ready to post. You're like the LeBron James of the TP2 Android forum...

Why not just wait until you're ready to post? What's the point of making a post to say you're going to post something soon? |

You know what I found the solution to the Sound problem too. My phone just crapped out though and can't seem to remember how I did it

Re: Found solution to have simcard and have Android up and running CDMA
there was a couple of apps that i used didnt work that use the gobal setting insted of using cdma only but im on vzw network so that might not be the case for sprint tho or any other cdma and on energy rom it mess with the taks bar its puts a big icon of activesync in your sigal area but i didnt wanna find out what it was so i put my sim back in and it went back to normal.

1. Changing force_cdma from 0 to 1 is exactly the same thing that the CDMA checkbox does in the startup utility. So steps 5 and 6 are redundant. 2. Do not make sure both boxes are checked. The Rhodium HW3D does not work. You're actually doing more harm than good by checking the Hardware 3D box...

Re: Found solution to have simcard and have Android up and running CDMA
I've abused the crap out of this build and played for an entire weekend on the android market w/ no ill effects running my phone with the SIM card out. In fact, battery life is better without the SIM card in. The phone switches from global to CDMA only. (this turns off the GPRS radio)
Hope this helps |
