Hardware Button Lights stay on even when phone's in sleep mode

Anyone know why my hardware button lights don't turn off? I'm not overclocking or anything

Re: Hardware Button Lights stay on even when phone's in sleep mode

Your question is answered in the stickied thread at the top of this forum:

Why is my backlight always staying on?
There have been reports, including myself with issues with the Backlight staying on even when you put the phone to sleep. As well as your backlit navigation keys at the bottom. Obviously a real battery killer! To fix this, we need to disable Windows Mobile's Automatic Adjustment and Dim settings.

From within Windows Mobile
Tap START - SETTINGS - SYSTEM - POWER - BACKLIGHT
Tap to Uncheck - Automatically adjust backlight
Tap to Uncheck - Dim backlight if device is not used for: in the On Battery Power section
Tap to Uncheck - Dim backlight if device is not used for: in the On External Power section
This should keep the backlight from staying on now, and definitely increase battery time!

Also, it seems that if your backlight for the hard keys at the bottom is on when booting Android, they will get stuck in that state. It is recommended before launching Haret, that you wait for the Backlight on those keys to go out.

Re: Hardware Button Lights stay on even when phone's in sleep mode

if when you say your hardware button light your talking about the lights behind you call start back and end keys or even your keyboard keys then its because they were light up when you loaded haret if you boot back to winmo and the wait til they turn off the boot haret you will be fine but if your talking about the amber light at the top then thats for diagnostic purposes

I was referring to the lights on the Call Windows Back and End keys... Thanks, I got it! they were lit up when I ran Haret that's why they were on.
