Picture attachments in e-mail

Anyone else having problems viewing or saving .jpg attachments in their e-mails? When using the stock gmail app..i dont even see an option to view or save attachment. In the message i just see the file name *.jpg and a paperclip. Cant do anything with it. If i use the other mail client in android to receive e-mail from my comcast pop3 account..i get a small thumbnail of the pic and option to view or save. if i click view..it pauses a sec and says cant be displayed. if i click save..the app crashes and asks me to force close it.

Re: Picture attachments in e-mail

yes, same issue and all the research i've done on it says the same. . . . the gmail app is garbage. the suggestions were to use the web, sign into gmail and check mail that way. what i did was removed the gmail app shortcut from the home screen, and created a shortcut to the web version (with u/n and p/w remembered) on the home screen. seems to be as good as it gets for now, but works out pretty well. hope that helps.
