I had a chance to put some hard hours into it but wifi for the rhod+sense is now working. I'll try to get the changes committed to the rootfs soon.

Till then.. have a beer and celebrate :-)

Thanks have been given, btw my SN on xda is lebmb :) cant wait to get it goin :)
on a second note, i think the RIL in the curent rootfs is whats causing the reboots with metropcs, after i installed APNDroid and disabled data while in airplane mode, then turned off airplane mode and was able to stop it from rebooting, once i entered the APN settings for metro, no more reboots. so the problem was due to trying to connect to a blank apn setting.
at least it's working now, but i cant add my gmail account over data for some reason, couldn't do it with the previous system either.

Try renaming the rootfs file to take out any extraneous characters (eg, if your file is rootfs23481 rename it to just rootfs)

Did you ever have metro working properly with any release?

xda is really more geared to pleasing the crowd Raph/diamond/blac/rhod/topaz. But if the cdma users dont report enough errors i think they go overlooked. If there is a specific build you had success with, let me know so we can try to figure out why metro is failing.

I have sprint and the only issue i have is no cdma data when the sim card i in. But other than that, everything works just fine.

did u try with the rootfs included on base_package (xda thread)? it solved data issues with vodaphone provider not having 3G connexion, maybe it will work for u

thank you both for the reply, it's a combination of things, the 0407 rootfs and system were ok, and data worked for the first time, it never worked on the xandroid for metro no matter what i did, with the sense i just put the regular settings that ppl put from the the vogue forums and worked right away. the 0413 system mixed with the 0407 rootfs would keep on rebooting as soon as the data turned on so shortly after it boots up im done, sometimes i wouldn't get passed the setup screen. what i did was use an old rootfs that didn't even connect to metropcs network, installed apndroid and disabled data then replaced with the 0407 rootfs and was able to go into the network settings, enter in my apns and i was good to go, took me like a week to figure out why it was rebooting lol now it's perfect, however even on wifi still can't add a google account but i dont think im the only one having that issue, and even when using data, the arrows dont light up for the connection which is telling me that the setup wizard is not even attempting a connection, with the wifi on and tried to set up, (of course data automatically turns off) the setup asked me to turn on wifi lol at first i thought it was metro but now im thinking it's a general thing. sorry if i went on for a while but i hope this helps in figuring things out, for what it's worth i did have the same issue with xandroid at one point rebooting, as well as others with metropcs but what i did is use an older rootfs, and then normal reboot and use the newest rootfs and it was fine after that, strange but it worked. the issue with the sim card started with MrPippy RIL update to the rootfs, doesn't bother me since my broke behind aint going no where lol otherwise i wouldn't be on metropcs lol
oh and btw klinuxx, the base package rootfs had to have been from before the 3 31 update when MrPippy added the RIL because it shows that it's not connected to the network, yet i still get and send txt msgs and make calls :) but no need for that now with the latest rootfs from the xda side
