It works fine!!!

Edit--> I should say it boots fine..... It is still ungodly slow compared to the non-sense version...

I think folks aren't reading your post... They need to either keep it in the folder it unzips to, or edit the startup file to change the path to root.

Best

Chris

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

Are you using the non-debug builds from here?
- these are definitely faster and very usable and comparable?
- Still slow boot and after that it is just peachy.

http://balsat.hopto.org/

This build is the most stable version:
linux-msm.201005141832.tar.gz

and this is the most stable version of rootfs:
rootfs-20100514-f424a6d.zip
from here: http://xdandroid.southcape.org/rootfs/

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

Ive just started messing with getting droid to work on my sprint htc touch pro 2 yesterday. Not having alot of luck... Ive around half a dozen builds. Most of them get to the graphic load screens and just stall (waited 15+ mins). I have been able to get it to work by following the instructions from the OP in this thread however while the driod os seems to be working fine Im not getting any phone/data service. Its just simply showing no connection (havent tested wifi).

My question: Is there something that I missed? Ive looks over countless threads and steps on how to install but none of them have you entering in your carrier information phone # etc anywhere. Once you boot to droid is it just supposed to automatically work and connect to the sprint network and know your phone # or is there some step or file edit Im missing?

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

For some reason every time I try to load, it says I am missing the rootfs.img file. I reboot and check and the file is there in the root directory of the SD card. Any ideas ?

Thanks,

Mike

Sometimes it will boot up in airplane mode on the first load. (or your sim is in)

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

The rootfs.img file should be in the same dir as the rest of the android build, so if for example the android files are in \andbootS\ so should the rootfs.img file.
