I have a quick question, where are our programs stored? Where is System/App at? I've been looking all over the SD card for it but for some reason I still haven't found it

What particular programs are you looking for? The data.img that gets created the first time you boot is your actual filesystem. Think of it as your home directory in Linux. And then there is the rootfs.img which is some core components. And lastly your system.sqsh holds a lot of your preinstalled apps and such.

Gotcha, I figured it was a little more complicated like that, I found a .apk that is supposed to have the stock live wallpapers on it from the nexusone, however you're supposed to overwrite the original from the app folder, and I'm not even sure if we have an original since we don't have any of the stock nexusone live backgrounds on our phone. I'm going to try and look into it

Well I've tried extracting the data.img with a couple different programs but nothings worked so far, any ideas?

Edit: Nevermind

You need to read the changelogs on the kernel site, they show what is changed from kernel to kernel. Or in the rootfs autobuild site as well as the initrd autobuild site. Links are in the FAQ. Not always are the changelogs going to make sense to someone that isn't a developer. I am not a developer and I for sure don't understand all the changes. But it is not meant to be 100% understood to the normal user while they are working on the technical aspects of the drivers and such. Some of the changelogs no doubt make sense and you just have to pay attention. But you are dealing with an Alpha product, there are bugs, there will be more. So that is just part of the playing! So no doubt if you need something more stable then you need to stick to Windows Mobile or a stock Android device till things hopefully someday will get to the point we can call it good!
