Thanks for your fast response. I checked and there is a copy there as well. Not making much
sense as I can see the file there.

How are you loading android? try browsing to the andbootS folder, with File explorer, and then load HERET from inside this folder. My guess is that HERET is loading from a different folder than android.... (maybe from a bad shortcut)

Best,

Chris

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

Ok so got past that. Not sure why now it stops at a line that says [1235.278869] r5:0000000 r4:0000000 It has been stuck here for 20 mins or so.

Thanks,

Mike

After paying closer attention it seems to be stuck in some sort of loop where that is the ending line. It just keeps going through several lines of code and then stopping there.

Not sure, but look to see if there is a white square with a cross hair? (starts at top left) If so, it needs to calibrate the screen. Use your stylus and touch at the cross hair and repeat as it shows in its next positions.

I have been using your sense android for 3 or 4 days with no problems. I was talking to ACL and he mentioned that he wanted me to start up a sense android thread. I was wondering if I could feature your sense 05-21-10.zip file since it is the best android rom I have use.

I was over at XDA last night and ran across some info posted by phhusion about a command line switch that allows for overclocking of the MSM7600 system under android.

It only raises clock speed and doesn't mess with voltage to the chipset so it should be ok to use. HOWEVER WITH THAT SAID NOBODY ON XDA OR PPCG ARE RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DAMAGE YOUR DEVICE.

He posted that several Rhods have been running at 768Mhz for over a month without any issues.

He believes that the theoretical top speed would be 1.2Ghz but that our device would crash before we could get it that high.
I tried 700Mhz, and 768Mhz and they both seemed stable... a nice jump from 528mhz.
Just for fun I tried 968Mhz but it just locked up while loading Haret.
This is the cmd line switch you need to add to the cmdline text in your startup.txt remember to add it before the keyboard entry.
Replace the XXXXXX with the frequency you want in Khz not Mhz.

"acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=XXXXXX"

You have to enter speeds in Khz though so
528000 = 528Mhz Stock speed
700000 = 700Mhz
768000 = 768Mhz Reported to be stable
And so on.

I tried it and it works, but I still have some lag in Android that I think is SD card related only have a class 2 and class 4 cards to work with, I'm sure once we get around to nand flashing it will be more beneficial to overclock.

I haven't really noticed any battery change but under Android it doesn't last too long anyways when you are actually using the device.
Using the battery monitor app on android it seems that a full charge is about 4.6 and when it gets down to 4.1 you have less than 10% when you get back to WM. - just my personal exp.

Good luck, post some stable speeds and we can have some fun with a faster device!
I know this going to sound completely noob , and it is . But hey if you don't ask . I need to know if someone can give me the exact path to follow to do this (OVERCLOCK my phone ) . Step by step if possible . Also , what do I use to do the change ( Reg Editor , Total Commander , etc. ) . I'm not completely new to modding my phone . It's just I haven't done anything like this yet . Thanks in advance for the help .

From your phone: Open file explorer, select the storage card, startup.txt will either be in the root of the storage card or in the andboot (or andbootS) folder. Now just tap on startup.txt file (you will not see the extension normally) and it will open in the text editor. Make changes then tap OK in the top right corner.
