Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

Hello and thanks for all your work. I've been using Android as a 2nd OS on my HTC TP2 for a while.
I've just downloaded and tried to install the latest build (froyo 2.2.1). The installation begins, and asks for where I want to install. I choose storage card, and it runs for 4 bars, and then errors out saying it cannot be installed. I've tried deleting all Android folders from my storage card, rebooting phone, verified the SIM is not in the phone, but nothing seems to work. Every other build I've ever used (just about every one) has always installed fine. This is the first one giving me trouble.
The installed DOES create the .\andboot folder on my storage card, and some folders inside there, but nothing else.

Anybody else having this trouble? Any advice for a solution?

Thanks,
Tom

Did you try to use the .cab file? If so then use the .rar and you should be fine as there is a problem with the .cab

My question to ThomasDietrich is, why did you drag up this old thread!?! Please look in the stickys or threads that are posted in more frequently. The date in the thread title should have also been a pretty bright warning sign...

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

I tried the cab and installed both NET Core and Net Frameworks 3.7, but the bootup screen stales and doesn't do anything right away... I installed everything to (Except for Net Core and Net Frameworks 3.7) the storage card and see it all there in andboot... I have the T7380 with the sim card taken out. I left it sitting there for almost an hour and cameback to a flashing XDANDROID screen with the animated logo.. Nothing would wake from that screen and I had to reset my device I'm using BLAZN...

Do I need to install Net Core and Net Frameworks 3.7 to the storage card, also am I selecting the right model Rhod400 for Sprint Touch Pro2 World Phone (T7380) plus Gen Y Boot says Android Missing every time I boot and it loads the screen.

Can someone please help!

HOLY CRAP LETS ALL BE A BUNCH OF CRY BABIES!!!

Look now if YOU ALL don't like it you need to get people to edit the posts that link to this thread, inside and outside of PPCGeeks.

Good grief, it's not my fault this project is still active and some stupid admins and mods don't know how to lock a thread!

I'm just asking for help just like everybody else about this specific project. Not asking to be griped at.

Thanks for the link if it's about the specific cab I'm using... But BY THE LOOKS OF IT, this thread isn't ancient seeing as to how many posts have been made in it this week.

LMAO

Woah, calm down. If you look, those posts are just from confused people that for some reason dragged up a thread that had fallen down several pages for a reason.

I posted once asking why the thread was dragged up, and then you respond seemingly without even reading my post.

Sheesh, I was honestly just trying to help and was really confused as to why people kept posting in this thread... Oy.

That thread is no longer sticky'd for a reason .

Not trying to be mean, just not sure why old threads keep getting dragged up .
