Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

My card is formatted to FAT32. That didn't seem to help. I thinking I should try to buy a new card, everyone else seems to have no issues running android.

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

Quick question. I know that the device charging issue hasn't been 100% fixed, but if I let the rouge battery meter get to 10% or even 1% will it shutdown?

Just to clarify, you downloaded one of the zip files from this thread then unzipped and placed on your SD card? If so, you should see the startup file.

Please provide a quick overview of the steps you have taken starting with the download of the all in one build file to where you are now.

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

I had a card that would not mount no matter what i tried and using a different card solved my problems instantly

For the modules and zImage is it always the best idea to get the newest one or should i go down the list read the comments and try and find one that appears to work the best based on that?

There are two types you can try. One is the sense ui build that jpriset pointed you to. (This is the one I maintain)

Sense05-21-10.zip

The other is the AOSP version that is smaller, faster and somewhat more stable. This one is provided by 00_MACKIE_00. Mackie has been busy, so I took the liberty to update his build to the latest stable zImage, rootfs and modules. Here is his builds...

Android 05.21.10.zip

or his last one before of

Android 05.12.10.zip

I think that the Mackie version is a better one to start with to be up and running the quickest.
This post has been thanked 5 times.

Question What is the difference between this build and the one linked in the first post, the 2.1 aosp from the main touch pro 2 android thread? Like for starters the bootscreen is different and numerous icons as well as the original background. Is there anything else significant different or is it just a few cosmetic things? Also noticed in the setup screen the one here doesnt mention AOSP anywhere and the one at the link does.
