Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

anyone notice that the content of startup.txt gets erased (file still there - just empty).

I'm using blazin (700).

EDIT: did some more trouble shooting. Apparently this starts to happen after setting up an exchange server and my google email account. Was able to reporduce this x3 with two different sd cards. Is there a seperate section for bug reporting?

Set your "startup.txt" file to Read-Only and you should be good to go.

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

i cant seem to get this to work. i have verizon and i dl the blazn version. i installed the cab and ran it from the shortcut in the start menu, i check the last box for the verizon version and check the 3d and force cdma, then click run android, and it begins to boot but never stops booting, i let it go for over 30 min. and it just kept running over the same text. i have no idea what to do at this point. i saw some ppl talking about changing things in the startup menu, but i have no clue how to do that or even what to do.

This project is NOT ready for general consumption. If you're not willing to do A LOT of reading AND searching, then you probably shouldn't use it.

I honestly wish they never built a CAB. It just fosters ignorance about the system.

Try a non-cab build, and do a fresh install on a recently formatted SD card.

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

i dont mind reading I just dont know where or what to search for. all it says on the download page is install .cab on root of sd, then run it from shortcut in start menu. thats what I did and it didnt work. if there are other instructions I need to see I dont mind reading over them, but like I said, I'm not sure what exactly to search for (startup problems, boot problem, how to, etc)

I have had my tp2 for quite awhile now, and after my son got his droid, I felt a little behind. I just gotta say to everyone involved in this, THANK YOU! I was even out looking out the droid 2, but you guys are awesome!

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2 Rhodium Updated 5-20-2010

I just tried both of the xandroid (8-30) versions, and they work fine for a few minutes, but then I get a random reboot about 10 minutes after after startup. Anyone else have this problem? Is it possible it could be the Sandisk 2gb card?

Update: tried new SD card, and still crashes. I noticed it crashes when opening the browser. I even tried Skyfire, and it reboots when opening that also.
