I remember this sort of behavior from earlier 2.1 builds, but it started working properly at some time. Froyo seems to have taken me a step backwards, unless I'm missing something obvious.

The trick is Patience. Its also a virtue. :P

It has not gotten a full lock on you yet, keep the screen on for 5-10 minutes and it will find you and be very accurate, and take about 10 sec per lock after that.

I like the LED notification, but my light just stays on since I installed the latest build. How do you have your's set so that it just comes on when you have a notification like missed call, or unread text?

You cant yet. :(

Copy and paste startup from andboot to the root of the sd card, I believe currently startup will be 0 bt.

leave the messed up 0kb one there in the startup folder, name the second one default.txt and when that screen comes up asking for it just click "run" and it will bypass the startup, and run the default.txt instead. :)

This is a bit off topic but what's up with video playback? anything out there for tp2 users yet?

Mind you I'm not even referring to flash 10.1, but I'll take that too if its out there.

Sorry for the hijack...

If notifications don't work with the LED light, what is the issue or the pros and cons with keeping it turned off vs always on?

There is really no reason for regular users to have it, its actually set up still for when we were debugging sleep mode. Green - sleep Orange - wake so you can disable it with led effects if you would like to.

Basically the battery drain is negligible so there's little to worry about. Its purely about preference.

No it doesn't have to be empty. Android does not touch your other files, but no-one can guarantee that android won't nuke your files due to some weird bug, so if you don't want to lose anything, make a backup!
