Ill see what I can do... there are some new system updates, in preparation for wireless tethering, and a new gapps package. I have the build synced up in linux, but I have not built it yet because I'm waiting for an answer from one of the big brains in IRC. :)

Okay, what exactly happens when you try to load the cab after a reboot and what exactly does the rar get stuck at, what is the last line of the code screen?

Launcher pro is preinstalled in the rom itself and I'm trying to uninstall it but it wont allow me to. Is there an easy solution to this?

Hi Reef is there a difficult and complicated way to uninstall launcher pro? (this is a serious question since you siad there wasn't really an easy way)
Also for the reference version is can it be overclocked by using the startup.txt from the blazin rom?

Yes you can use titanium backup to uninstall apps, but then you will have to make sure you add another launcher app in there to take its place as I remove Launcher2 from the system! Yes, you can overclock the reference version through startup.txt there is a overclock line, its at the very bottom of the FAQ if you want to know what it is.

Hi instead of double posting you should just edit you first post to say waht you want.

2nd. I think you are gonna need to give more information than that to get help.

A couple of days ago Wifi stopped working on my android port. When i go into settings and try to turn on Wifi it says "turning on..." for a few seconds and then changes to "Error".

Any clue why it's doing this or how I can troubleshoot it? Wifi still works fine for me when i boot my phone up under windows mobile.

thanks!

You can try a newer kernel/zimage from here:
Linux kernel zImages and modules for htc-msm-linux

Or just overlay the last kernel/zimage you used. If I get odd problems like you have, reinstalling these files normally fixes them. Plus if you use a newer version, you are also getting other upgrades and fixes at the same time.

downloaded the latest zImage and module and now Wifi works again... thanks for the tip!

Alright my next question, on the blazin build when i want to set a wallpaper it brings up this like wall of pictures, which i assume is somehow part of the gallery, but on the stock build when i try to bring up the gallery, it just kinda freezes and if I long press>wallpapers there is a gallery option that just freezes the phone and if i hit wallpapers it just brings up the stock wallpapers. Is there anyway to get that kinda 2d gallery onto the stock build?

Are you installing it to the Storage Card or Device. I read the instructions, but that step didnt register in the brain and I was clicking Device out of habit. Make sure you are installing to Storage Card.

went with the cab and i had to copy the startup.txt and change it the copy to default.txt because after the reboot it would ask for default instead of just loading start up..now my issue is after start up....no service but when i do fresh install everything works fine any sedgestions?

Are you enabling Cdma, and is your airplane mode disabled?

Did you get it to work? I tried installing Launcher2 and then using Titanium Backup to remove LauncherPro and only succeeded in making a total mess of Blazn (won't boot past startup animation, waited 5+ minutes).

Which launcher did you install?

Umm hello. Long time reader, first time poster. I tried searching but I could not find a solution. While in the android system, the LED light stays orange, meaning its not in sleep mode. I kill all the unnecessary tasks and turn the screen off but it just doesn't go into sleep mode (green). Is there a solution for this or is it still on-going? Thanks in advance.

it seems like it is a hit or miss weather is will go to sleep my will go in to sleep mode some time for like 1 second my one thing is is the back light still on when you turn the screen off, that will do it

I'm pretty sure it just stays on, I believe it changes to green when you plug it in.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [8/30] FIXED NOISE!

The light should be green when in sleep low power mode. It will flash orange when checks are made. If your light does not stay green, your battery will not last as long.

I had the problem where the phone would not sleep properly one time. Like most of these little issue, installing a new module/zimage package fixed the problem. So try that.

This is not true. Green = sleep, orange = not sleep.

This is fantastic. I hated WinMO and I'm now happily full time booting android.

Question: if I install the latest build from the test page do any of them have the headphone jack working on sprint tp2s?

Contact transfer most likely will not work since USB functionality is not working yet (aside from charging)

I strongly recommend signing up for a gmail account if you dont already have one and using the stock google sync app... it works exactly as you would expect it to and is by far the easiest contact transfer solution.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [8/30] FIXED NOISE!

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this or not when running Android as I don't keep up with much on troubleshooting in the threads here, but I noticed something today related to power usage. When my phone is 'sleeping' with the screen off, the screen isn't actually off completely. The backlight appears to still be on when its in standby. I never noticed it before as my phone was always in a well lit area until today when sleeping. No idea how to fix it, but I'm sure that if the devs could find out why this is happening (unless this is a random occurence), it may help improve battery life for folks.

Its a fairly well know issue.

The work-around is to turn off auto backlight control in WinMo before booting Android.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [8/30] FIXED NOISE!

Didnt know where else to really post but since this is the most popular thread i figured i give it a try. I just patched the kernel with some changes that were successful on the nand version. Changes are mostly incall volume fix as well as some speaker stuff.

unfortunately i cant test it fully since im on nand (not haret), so we will need feedback tomorrow. The other devs reported success so im hoping nothing is broken. Glemsom already auto-build the kernel so its ready for download..

thanks fellas
