I feel it creates more problems then it's worth - because even if it does work, you have no clue what it did. With the rar, you actually are performing the actions so you see where the files go and how the structure looks. Glad to hear it's workin. |

Did you swap (rename) both the startup.txt and conf/froyo.user.conf files as I mentioned in the 2nd section. The froyo.user.conf is important because it binds viruscrazy's camera libraries for the camera to work properly.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [01/23] FRX04 Reference!
Has anyone successfully installed the cab to there sdcard?
I have a 16gb class 6 transcend and its empty. I did a comprehensive reformat. Took about an hour. and the cab is telling me "MJG project android rebuild cannot be installed" after about 4 progress cubes. Is my only option to download the rar file and extract it to my sdcard? |

I really think Reef needs to get rid of the cab, it takes way longer to install, and you don't see the file/folder structure. See my post 2 posts up... |

Once again thanks for the reply man! thanked both of your posts Right after I posted that I just bit the bullet and went ahead and unzipped the rar file. I have to say this Android is superfast and responsive. There have been minor lags (usually going to the app launcher) and I cant figure out this power key, end key, back button and which does which. Im sure Ill get the hang of it though. So far its really impressive. Just some minor tweaking and Im sure Ill be using this more often! |

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [01/23] FRX04 Reference!
Guys Im trying to open an apk file that was attached in my yahoo email I sent to myself. but when I tried opening it it told me:
I believe I have the incoming and smtp servers correct because its recieving and sending emails but I can't download anything. "Parse error: There is a problem parsing the package" In settings I have Unknown sources checked off in the applications settings. Am I forgetting something else? Or does android still not have access to download email attachments. In older versions this has always been a problem and I could never download anything from the internet either. What am I missing. Thanks guys Also what does N. Am. Dial do under the advanced startup on xdaandroid? Should I select it or not? Last edited by ModmyPPC; 01-29-2011 at 04:56 PM. |

north_am_dialing=1 would be for Google Voice - Enables + dialing (GV uses a +1 number to dial out for whatever reason instead of just 1...) |
