Yeah, I believe it's the only MMS file in there. I ended up having to use android mate to copy and paste it in there, so you may need to use that app to get a copy out of there. Much appreciated!!

Can anybody on Sprint pull their mms file from \system\apps and post it up? I was trying some stuff in another thread to see about mms and borked my texting, and don't want to have to set up android completely yet again. Thanks!

I tried getting this for you too but for some reason I dont have a system directory in my sdcard.

Tried looking under windows/ system/ but apps is not in there.

If you use android mate while in android, keep going up one or two levels and there is a folder named system, in that folder is one titled apps and in that folder is mms.

Ok I was looking for it through active sync. Its strange the file never showed up. but found it and Hope this is what your looking for

and happy to see that MMS is being worked on.

Since I dont have it on my plan if I recieve an MMS then I have to pay for it eventhough I never see it. Which SUCKS!!

Thanks much for posting that up. Now I gotta see if it will work for me or if I'm setting up everything again. And let me clarify regarding working on MMS... I'm not a developer, hell, I'm still a noob with this android stuff (you can tell by me not backing up a file I was pasting over, lmao). I was just following a hunch with a couple of other geeks in another thread and unfortunately, as far as I can tell, that ain't gonna work that easy. Me trying a mod here and there is NOT the same as ACL or the other developers and the work they do, I only wish I had 1/10 of their ability!!!

So far so good, I ended up reloading some older files and nothing was working, but when I loaded up the "stock" apk it's back working as it should. I truly appreciate your help on this!! I almost texted you previously from winmo cuz I know you're on this port (you called me last fall when you needed help flashing your phone and I gave you my number to talk through the issues, don't know if you remember or not) and I'm glad I didn't since it would have charged you. But thanks again for your assistance!

I do remember. haha Just happy I could one day repay the favor. Since you helped me pop my flashing cherry. http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...f?t=1288102094:occasion5:

I have unlimited texting so It wouldn't have charged me a thing. I only get charged for MMS. Those dont cost much either only 20 cents so I dont really get bothered by them.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [10/04] BATT UPDATES!

Hey, wanted to give an update on my Android stability situation. I have a brand new Kingston SDcard, and loaded up the latest kernel and rootfs files (on October 22nd, I think). I'm still having stability issues, so we can probably rule out that it was my SD card. So I notice Android will crash back into Windows frequently when locking the screen, sometimes when dragging the taskbar down, stuff like that. It never restarts when just sitting idle. One time I had the deep sleep issue.. and I found it interested, because I tried calling my cell phone from my desk phone, and it went straight to voice mail.

So I did notice something I wanted to ask about. Previously on an older Android build, Android would occasionally lock up and boot itself. What I mean by this is that it would hang, and then it would go back to the "XANDROID" boot screen animation, and Android would pretty much restart without going back into Windows. I was okay with this since it was just kind of a brief interruption. Now whenever it hangs up it crashed back into Windows. I'm wondering if these hangs are related, but something has changed through the versions that causes it not to restart Android anymore? This was personally preferred behavior.

Still no wifi. when i select it to turn it on it goes on for a second then goes off while its scanning. I have installed the newest files from Main Page - The XDAndroid Project and Linux kernel zImages and modules for htc-msm-linux.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Try using older modules/zimage files.
