I don't know the setting for T-mobile. If you run the MGJDroid utility it should show the number next to the picture of the phone. Mine's Verizon and it shows rhod500. Then put that number there instead of tilt2.

you gotta change your physkeyboard= in your default.txt. There is a whole list of commands and a whole startup directory on the FAQ. Tmobile, if you take your battery off and check, is Rhod210, and thats what you need to change that line to.

Make a copy of a working startup.txt and rename it to default.txt. Leave this in your andboot folder. The startup utility will probably still destroy your startup.txt, but if your default.txt is in there, you can just click "run" and it will start haret, and not eat up your default.txt.

I have followed this step and now when I boot into android using mjg I dont have service at all.

*EDIT*ok I have found two ways to possibly work around this 1. you can copy and past everything over from your default txt every time before you boot. 2. go in and change the settings in the default txt. I opted for number 2 cause im lazy. the second appears to have worked although you have to go into your settings and turn off airplane mode when you boot. (however of course it prolly just me mine wont come out of airplane mode so I guess its going to have to option number one) the first option definitely works

*EDIT2* you only have to copy and past one time it does NOT eat your startup.txt file again

kk Thanks! Now to sound like a real noob cuz I don't really have a clue...How do I change that line? When I open up the file using file explorer it opens in word. Can I do it from there?

Yeah, just select no if it asks you to save it as a word document.

Hey, I wasn't that far off then. I just didn't know which rhod number and I used the droid util to find mine.

NOT WORKING IN THIS BUILD:

  • BT
  • Camera
  • Headphones
  • Speakerphone (no mic)
  • Opengles: using software rendering for the time being.
  • Battery Meter (about 75% fixed now)

They are working on getting the camera to work. See this post

When you boot up and are on the lock screen it tells you no service right?
Cuz I know I had to do what reefer said and copy my startup etc and when I boot up it tells me no service but as soon as I unlock the screen I have service. Sounds stupid but have you tried it and waited to see if your service starts running?
