I've been trying to download files (like the fix for the hissing from the speaker) using the android browser and I get an unsuccessful download messages. I didn't see this problem in any of the FAQs.

im pretty sure it wouldnt let you download it from the phone. i could be wrong. but i did it from my pc, and moved it on to my phone. no more hissing.
How in the world do i get navigation going on this. maps works fine, but it will never go through with the directions. its stalls and makes me force close on the voice guided directions. I assume its because it keeps putting my location off the coast of africa. weird. i got gps enabled, quick gps is up to date. it only finds me half the time, but navigation doesnt work even when it does find me. siggestions?

And shouldnt tts be working as well? It doesnt hear anything i say. sound works, i got the tts installed and the test voice works. i been up all night messing with this. please point me in a direction.

Well i got the navigation going. I overclocked it to 768, and it has fixed alot of the issues i was having. I still cannot figure out why text to speech does not work though. Can anyone confirm if text to speech works on this. It doesnt hear anything i say. But mic works, speaker works, so what am i doing wrong?

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [8/26] SOUND IS FIXED!

Like some others I couldn't get the newest project android build working, BLAZN or reference. It would either freeze or loop infinitely during the startup animation or reboot itself once android loaded. I haven't used android on my TP2 since June, so I was starting fresh on a cleaned SD card. It just doesn't work for me for some reason. I formatted the SD card using both Windows and HP's USB Storage Format Tool, as some suggested that helps. No luck. Tried removing the overclock from startup.txt. No luck. I even did a hard reset, flashing the latest MightyROM. Still having the same problems.

Anyway, I ended up installing everything manually, one step at a time, and everything is working now. I'm not sure what the problem is/was, but if anyone else is having the same problems, you might have some luck installing it all manually as I did. It really isn't that hard.

Also I'm not trying to insult Reefermattness or anyone else by posting this in this thread. (since this is your thread!) Please don't take it that way. In fact, thank you for your hard work! I'm just trying to help out those that are in the situation I found myself in.

One strange thing I did notice is that in the latest BLAZN rar, the startup.txt has 7x00.a11=500 instead of clock-7x00.a11=500. I don't know if this is related to anyone having problems or not. Anyway, here is my documentation of each step in manually installing xdandroid. Maybe this will help the people having strange problems who want to try manually installing and don't know how to.

Thanks everyone involved for your hard work. Its amazing!

When you first install TTS, sound is muted. Go to settings when navigating and unmute. I don't think voice search is working yet.

Yeah. I have the exact same problem. I thought it was just a long boot for some reason, but it kept on a loop. Well, looks like I should try it your way until someone posts a fix. Thanks.

I would like to have a solution for this problem too. I tried the htc_hw.call_vol=0 command line in the startup.txt but it's no help either.
